A bug that fires every frame: it floods the log and costs performance. Check for an update; if none, disable the feature involved or remove the mod.
Character picks up object on floor. (tried with wood, resin and neck tail) item goes into inventory but stays on the floor. items are also disappearingrandomly from inventory.
Character is from pre 1.0 modded world. First time bringing him back to the multiplayer server since we updated to 1.0 and added BetrValheim to the new modlist (had to change some mods out because they depreciated with 1.0 coming out.
Hey Casual Bagel, thanks for the report and sorry for the trouble!
The picking-up problem and the vanishing items come from the same error, so once that one is fixed, both should be gone. To find out exactly what triggers it, I need a bit more:
1. Your full log file: BepInEx/LogOutput.log (right after the problem happened, before restarting the game). Mod Doctor only shows a summary, I need the lines below the error.
2. Your mod list (all 21 mods with versions).
3. Do you have any tools, hammers or similar items from mods you no longer use? Either in your inventory or on the BetrValheim pages?
Until then: please don't pick up anything you care about with that character, so nothing gets lost π
Thanks a lot for the log, that helped a ton!
Good news: it's not your character and not your old mods. One of the build pieces in the hammer's list doesn't exist anymore. Most likely the aquarium from ChillFishing gets lost after it is created. Whenever the game looks at that list (after picking something up, opening the build menu), it hits that missing piece and stops halfway. That's why items stayed on the ground and things vanished.
The next BetrValheim update will simply skip broken pieces like that, so picking up and building work normally again, no matter which mod lost the piece. Until then, removing ChillFishing should stop it too (if you can live without the aquarium for a bit).
Items that vanished because of this unfortunately can't be brought back, sorry about that!
